A present tense verb for which describes actions in a “broad” (geniş) way. Thus, the action need not be taking place at time of speaking.
Form is -(V)r. “V” is a vowel that is required when the aorist suffix is attatched to a verb stem ending in a consonant.
Consonants ending with more than one syllable take -I/U/İ/Ü r.

Monosyllbalic stems take -E/A r.

The aorist tense has 4 basic functions.
1.It is used to make statements that are considered generally or habitually true, or which receive special emphasis. (Comparable to -DIr ending, but for verbal emphasis.)
It is used differently in speaking and in writing. In speaking, it can be considered “too heavy” at times, and will be replaced with present progressive -Iyor. However, in writing -Iyor can be considered too specific, and thus -(V)r will be used.
